Recession-Wines.com® was founded in Dallas, Texas by Tom and Angela. For years, we have enjoyed tasting new wines wherever we go. However, during this economical turmoil, we have had to greatly cut back on how much we spend on our wines. Obviously, we are not the only ones out there making this sacrifice. So in order to help our fellow wine lovers, we decided to spread our frugal knowledge with others. Our aim is to bring to the table an ordinary person’s, like us, palate and a simple approach to evaluating inexpensive or low-priced wines.
This site is dedicated to discussing and reviewing inexpensive wines that one might enjoy for every day purchase or entertaining friends. The selections we highlight will generally range from $3 to $15 a bottle and will hopefully instill a little more knowledge into your selections.
We will strive to post a new wine daily, mixing the varietals providing a possible pairing of food.
The wines will be rated by using corks, 5 corks being our favorite. Both of us tend to carry the same torch for the same wines, however from time to time we disagree. The corks will be an average of our own opinions. We believe everyone has their own unique pallet and hopefully through our many reviews you will be able to determine what to spend your dollars on and what to pass by at the store. Please feel free to Contact Us with your comments about the wines we recommend or wines you discover on your own.
